We've apparently had some pretty incredible amounts of rain while I've been away as evidenced by the mud pit that seems to be at both barns. Of course Wilbur has had a few showing in the past few days- his trainer may have referred to him as a "swamp thing," likely not fondly since she's the one having to prep him.
I'm feeling fortunate to have a basement that I can tromp into and discard my nasty boots after a barn visit! How do you manage the "messiness" of the winter months?
I didn't know that Cali houses had basements
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a ground floor- a garage, laundry room, and storage! I call it a basement out of habit- Midwest roots :)
ReplyDeleteMuck Boots and a blue ikea bag to stash them in are a lifesaver :)
ReplyDeleteugh i try to wear separate shoes from home to car, and car to barn, with the icky barn shoes living in my tack-i-mean-car trunk
ReplyDeleteI have only one pair of muddy boots that reaches my house. And they get taken off at the doorway. I don't even have an entry way/hallway let alone a basement. My riding boots live at the barn and I change in and out there.
