Yes- you are correct! I called around to a few repair places but no one seems to have the parts for the 6. I've been advised that Apple is the way to go and have an appt at the Genius Bar on Monday!
(pressed publish by mistake) If you call apple direct and plead your case, ("I hear the 6 is really prone to this etc...") they can put a hold on your credit card, ship the new one asap with return shipping included - at least that was my experience.
aww boo! good luck! my friend's horse just knocked her phone onto the floor too - and it didn't break!! that is, until the horse picked it up with his teeth... crunch.
Apple care is apparently the way to go. I had ATT insurance and it was still 200 to replace it :(
ReplyDeleteNot as durable as my last iPhone for sure

DeleteUgh -- I just dropped my 5s last week and cost me $200 for a new one. I cried a little bit on the inside.
ReplyDeleteFind a cell phone repair place. I got a 4s screen replaced for $70.
ReplyDeleteI put Scotch tape on my screen.
ReplyDeleteYou can get it fixed at a cell repair place for less than $100 usually...
ReplyDeleteiPhone shops do it for around $60 but it voids the warranty - FYI
