Sonoma Horse Park: Gucci Sponsored Giant Step Charity Show

Sometimes I go to horse shows and work while I'm there. Working meaning I have my computer on... a little bit. Why do I go?

This text from a work friend sums it up pretty well: "Random thought on a Thursday....whenever I need a pick-me-up during the work day I take a 5 min break and looks at pics of Westie puppies on Instagram or watch clips of Jimmy Fallon on YouTube.. I've done it twice already today and it's ony 9:42am!"

My response to her was the above. That I spend a day at a horse show to help remind myself why I subject myself to the office every day. Don't for a moment get me wrong- I LOVE my job!!! But the daily grind does get to me.

I do feel quite lucky when my boss calls and the convo goes like this....

Boss: "So you said you were going to a horse show tomorrow?"
Me: "Yes- I am meeting up with X & Y- we will be going to meet an account. It's legit. I'm going to bring my computer."
Boss: "That's fine. Have fun."




Poor Shawn promised me a fitting!

    A fitting?! Like a new saddle? Also major jellies over here that you can work at horse shows. I wonder if you saw Huey's "brother" there. I know there is a couple in nocal that has a few Bannockburn horses :)

      Oh man- I hope not!!! I need a new saddle like zero :/. My trainer mentioned she felt like it was sitting a little low on Ellie's withers so just want to get Shawn out to double check that everything is perfect!

    Very cool -- I saw the group photo on Ariat's Instagram!! Also, wanted to mention that I've been really impressed with Ariat's customer service. You probably have absolutely nothing to do with that, but I think it's always nice to hear positive feedback about the company you work for (even if you weren't directly involved) :D

    I told my boss that we should bring out laptops to Woodside Shows and work next to the GP ring all day.

    Would love an off-site like that! The daily grind is getting to me too, but I reward myself by riding Simon at night and vegging out on the weekends haha.
